CVE-2025-69196
EUVD-2025-20875916.03.2026, 19:16
FastMCP is the standard framework for building MCP applications. Prior to version 2.14.2, the server does not properly respect the resource parameter submitted by the client in the authorization and token request. Instead of issuing the token explicitly for the MCP server, the token is issued for the base_url passed to the OAuthProxy during initialization. This issue has been patched 2.14.2.Enginsight

Common Weakness Enumeration
- CWE-863 - Incorrect AuthorizationThe software performs an authorization check when an actor attempts to access a resource or perform an action, but it does not correctly perform the check. This allows attackers to bypass intended access restrictions.
- CWE-1220 - Insufficient Granularity of Access ControlThe product implements access controls via a policy or other feature with the intention to disable or restrict accesses (reads and/or writes) to assets in a system from untrusted agents. However, implemented access controls lack required granularity, which renders the control policy too broad because it allows accesses from unauthorized agents to the security-sensitive assets.
